Ureter, Duplicated, Bilateral :: Imaging

Intravenous Urogram
AP :: IVP/IVU - Intravenous Urogram/Pyelogram || ACR Codes: 8.1
Close-up View of Kidneys.
IVU demonstrated bilateral elongated nephrograms with minimal irregularity of the renal outline. There is complete bilateral duplication of the renal collecting system to include duplication of the renal pelves and ureters. The bilaterally duplicated ureters independently enter the bladder, and thus 4 UVJs are demonstrated. A small ureterocele of the right lower pole ureter is demonstrated at the confluence with the bladder. There is also associated mild blunting of the right lower pole intrarenal collecting system consistent with partial obstruction/reflux of the lower pole moiety.

NOTE: There is a "pseudotumor" adjacent to the upper-pole of the left kidney (at about 2:00). This is most likely due to a nearby bowel loop.
