Patient History

17 year-old girl with Turner's syndrome presented to pediatrician complaining of a one-week history of fever and malaise. No localizing physical findings were noted and a chest radiograph was obtained as part of the fever work-up.

Summary of Findings

• Chest Radiography: demonstrates a smooth paraspinal mass overlying and projecting above the aortic knob, which itself overlies the left clavicular head.

• MRI: demonstrates a cervical aortic arch and a persistent left superior vena cava


Diffferential


Differential Diagnosis

Differential:
1. Persistent left SVC
2. Anomalous pulmonary venous return
3. Mediastinal adenopathy
