Lesions of the lung parenchyma are usually localized by lobe, and somtimes by segmental anatomy.

Normal anatomy for the lobes of the lung:
• RUL - Right Upper Lobe
• RML - Right Middle Lobe
• RLL - Right Lower Lobe

• LUL - Left Upper Lobe (and Lingula)
• LLL - Left Lower Lobe
