Calcification of the Vas Deferens

The is a pair of serpentine calcified structures, relatively symmetrical and bilateral in the pelvis (white arrows) these are the vas deferens.

Black arrows - psoas muscle
Green arrowhead - pit (fovea) of femoral head (ligament insertion)
* - obturator foramen
» - marks the greater trochanter of femur (gluteus medius and minimus insertion)
« - marks the lesser trochanter of femur (iliopsoas insertion)

Calcification of the vas deferens :: Age-related calcification of the vas deferens was a diagnosis of exclusion, in the absence of a history of or clinical or laboratory evidence of diabetes or an infectious etiology.
