TITLE: Cholesterol Granuloma of the Petrous Apex

DESCRIPTION:
The right petrous apex is expanded by a homogeneous, hyperintense mass. On T1WI obtained without contrast (not available), the lesion is similar in appearance; in other words, there is not significant enhancement. On T2WI (also not available), the lesion has high signal intensity. On CT images (also not available) there is a thin rim of intact bone surrounding the lesion.
