TITLE: AP image of the lumbar spine

DESCRIPTION:
An AP image of the lumbar spine domonstrates a transverse lucency centered within the L1 vertebral body consistent with a vacuum cleft. There is an associated L1 compression fracture. Degenerative changes are seen throughout the lumbar spine. There is mild demineralization. Incidentially noted is atherosclerotic vascular disease.
