Prolonged retention of a fetus results from an ovarian pregnancy and can result in calcification if prolonged due to obesity (not even knowing one was pregnant). Lithopedian is when retention of the dead fetus for months or years results in that calcification. Ovarian pregnancy is very rare and usually ruptures before the end of the first trimester. Even more rare is a condition called prolonged ovarian pregnancy.
