Demographics (Age, Sex, Incidence):
Any age; Male = Female
Common Locations:
Midline 80 to 95% with 50 percent occuring pericallosal
Gross Appearance:
Yellow fatty deposits occurring in two morphologies. Tubulonodular are bulky round cylindrical masses. Curvilinear lipomas are thin, posteriorly situated lesions that curve around the splenium.
Radiology:
Plain films : low density midline mass with "comma-shaped" calcium
CT: fat density mass +/- Ca2+
MR: hyperintense on T1 and hypo- on T2 sequences

Prognosis and Treatment:
Intracranial lipomas are often asymptomatic and discovered incidentally. Seizures, headaches, and behavioral disturbances are common but usually related to associated anomalies such as corpus callosum dysgenesis
