AKA Giant Hypertrophic Gastritis

-Classic clinical triad:
1. achlorhydria
2. hyproproteinemia
3. edema
- Usually presents in middle-aged men
- Associated with gastric carcinoma in 10 % of cases

RADIOGRAPHIC FINDINGS:
~ giant rugal folds usually sparing antrum
~ poor coating and dilution of barium due to hypersecretion
~ gastric wall thickening
~ small bowel fold thickening due to hypoproteinemia
~ ulceration is uncommon
