aka multiple myeloma (MM), myelomatosis, Kahler disease, plasmacytic myeloma, plasmacytoma. Plasma cell malignancy, usu arises in bone. Approx 1% of ALL malignancies; 10-15% of all hematologic; and 40% of all malignant bone tumors.
AGE - >40, usu 60-70, reported to be more common in men and women. (Solitary myeloma M>F)
