HOLOPROSENCEPHALY
  • ALOBAR - no interhemispheric fissure, fused thalami, horseshoe monoventricle merges into posterior midline cyst

  • SEMILOBAR - variable degrees of separation of hemispheres posteriorly, with post falx, discrete occipital lobes w/lateral ventricle ATRIA. There is posterior development of the splenium of the corpus callosum. Incomplete separation of thalami w/partial third ventricle.

    NOTE: THIS IS ONE OF THE MALFORMATIONS WITH POSTERIOR - not anterior - PARTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE CORPUS CALLOSUM.

  • LOBAR - incomplete separation of the frontal lobes and ABSENT SEPTI PELLUCIDI.
