An idiopathic condition producing a fibrous plaque on the shaft of the penis. This can lead to bending and pain in the penis when erect, and secondary sexual dysfunction. Trauma has been implicated, but most patients fail to report an inciting event. The condition is usually slowly progressive over several months, and self-limited.
