| History | 14 y/o male with intermittent otorrhea of right ear and right TM perforation. | |
| Findings | Soft tissue opacity is present in the right middle ear within the epi- and mesotympanum, extending into the mastoid air cells. The right TM is perforated. The ossicles and tegmen are intact. However, the scutum is blunted. | |

| Findings | Coronal CT images of the right temporal bone demonstrate a soft tissue density localized to Prussak’s space with extension into the epitympanic recess. There is associated erosion of the scutum and thinning of the tegmen tympani. Abnormal soft tissue is also visualized within the hypotympanum. | |
| Differential Dx | Differential considerations for abnormal soft tissue within the middle ear cavity include Cholesteatoma, chronic otitis media related granulation tissue, paraganglioma, aberrant internal carotid artery, and dehiscent internal jugular vein. | |
