Coarctation of the Aorta
Axial :: MR T2* gradient,GRE,MPGR,SWAN,SWI || ACR Codes: 5.1
Sagittal oblique and axial images of the aorta were performed with FSPGR "bright blood" technique to look for turbulent or reversed direction flow. Within the proximal descending aorta is a focal area of narrowing that demonstrates a jet of blood across/just distal to the region of narrowing that appears black in the otherwise "bright" blood column that has been extrapolated to indicate a visual representation of a pressure gradient with turbulance.
