Chest Review - Normal Chest - Frontal (PA)
PA :: XR - Plain Film || ACR Codes: 6.1
Most of the 'lung markings' are vessels (pulmonary arteries and veins) they should be symmetric for comparable lung regions from side to side. Normal vessels should taper going from medial to lateral. Vessels seen 'on end' should be round, and approximate the size of the adjacent bronchus ('black ball and white ball').
Fissures should be pencil thin lines:
Right side frontal - minor - horizontal fissure between RUL and RML
The oblique or great fissures are seen on the lateral view.
