Papillophlebitis is a condition that typically affects young adults. The presentation consists of optic disc edema, engorged veins, and possibly retinal hemorrhages. The presentation resembles papilledema; however, papillophlebitis occurs unilaterally, whereas papilledema is a bilateral condition. Papillophlebitis typically resolves completely without treatment.
