The right lung base is opaque. There could be a consolidation of the lower portion
of the lung, but the shape on the lateral view is more suggestive of lifting
up of the lung by something under it.
The bottom of the lung appears compressed by either elevation of the right hemidiaphragm
or by fluid in the right pleural space.
The simplist method of deciding between the two possibilities is to request
a decubitus view to see if there is free flowing fluid.
