UNICATE PROCESS:
Literally a "hook". For the ethmoid bone, a plate of bone down and to the back from the anterior portion of the ethmoid labyrinth.

UNICATE PROCESS OF PANCREAS:
The left and caudal portion of the head of the pancreas that "hooks" around. image
URETER:
A fibromuscular tube that transport urine from the collecting pelvis of the kidney to the base of the bladder, via a "stripping-wave" type of peristalsis. image
URETHRA:
A membraneous canal used in the transportion of urine from the bladder to the outside. image
UTERINE CAVITY:
The lumen within the uterus that is connected laterally to the uterine (fallopian) tubes and posteriorly/inferiorly with the cervix and vagina. image
UTERUS:
A hollow muscular organ in which the fertilized ovum is embedded. image
UVULA:
A small fleshy mass located on the soft palate above the root of the tongue. (The dangly thing hanging in the back of your throat.) "It'll behoove ya' to take care of your uvula". image
