Ovarian Vein Embolization for Pelvic Congestion Syndrome

Bilateral ovarian venograms were performed through a right internal jugular vein approach. The ovarian veins are prominent, and no competent valves are identified. Contrast refluxes into the pelvis with hand injection, to the level of the ovarian venous plexus on each side.

Following embolization with coils, there is occlusion of flow into the pelvis.
