Adjust Your Monitor's Grayscale

 Black to White Grayscale Steps


The image above shows 17 grayscale steps from black (value of 0 - on the Left) to white (value of 255 - on the Right). Your monitor should clearly show a difference in brightness between each of these steps. Your monitor should be adjusted, using the brightness and contrast controls, until you can see all 17 ( or as many as possible) of these steps.

NOTE: You may need to darken your room lights to see the darkest shades of gray.

After the brightness and contrast adjustments are complete, you may also want to make color adjustments.
