TITLE: Kissing Carotids

DESCRIPTION:
Sagittal T1W MR with Gd enhancement.
The two green arrows point to a midline flow void in the center of the sphenoid bone, just beneath the pituitary fossa and gland. This is one of the carotid arteries.

Imagine how this would impact on a trans-sphenoidal surgical approach to the pituitary!
